The 18th World Congress on Chinese Medicine Held in Hong Kong, China

On December 4, the 18th World Congress of Chinese Medicine was grandly held in Hong Kong, China, which is sponsored by World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies and undertaken by the Hong Kong Registered Chinese Medicine Association. The theme of the congress is "Chinese Medicine Benefits Human Health-Opportunities and Challenges of Global Chinese Medicine". Liang Zhenying, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Yu Yanhong, Party Member of the the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China and the Party Secretary of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tan Tieniu, Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Mr. Ma Jianzhong, President of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies attended the congress and delivered speeches. Ms. Chen Feng Fuzhen, former Director-General of the World Health Organization, Sang Binsheng, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and other relevant leaders attended the meeting. The Ministry of Civil Affairs of China sent a congratulatory letter to the meeting. The congress attracted more than 2,000 experts and scholars from more than 60 countries and regions around the world to attend the congress online and offline, with more than 3.8 million live viewers online.
