To promote interdisciplinary integration, drive the intelligent upgrading of the entire TCM industry chain, and enhance the international discourse power of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the 1st World Congress on Artificial Intelligence in TCM, organized by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and hosted by Zhejiang Chinese Medical University(ZCMU), will be held from June 26 to 28, 2026 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Currently, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the field of TCM is in the stage of exploration and initial practice. Attempts have been made in areas such as assisted diagnosis and treatment, analysis of classical formulas, new drug development, and intelligent health preservation, showing certain development potential. This conference aims to establish an industry milestone, a global resource hub, and an industrial accelerator, building a “TCM + AI” ecosystem worth hundreds of billions. Experts, scholars, government officials, and corporate representatives from around the world will gather to share cutting-edge theories, technological achievements, implementation cases, and management policies on AI empowering TCM.

To deepen the integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Artificial Intelligence and showcase innovations in “TCM + AI”, the AI Medical Innovation and Clinical Application Sub-forum, organized by The First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang Chinese Medical University (Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine), will be held concurrently.

3. Artificial intelligence accelerates the scientific process of traditional Chinese medicine: AI-based analysis of TCM clinical big data and verification of therapeutic mechanisms.
4. Artificial intelligence empowers TCM diagnosis and treatment as well as Chinese materia medica R&D: development and clinical evaluation of intelligent TCM syndrome differentiation and diagnosis assistance systems; application of AI in new TCM drug discovery, efficacy and toxicity prediction, and quality control.
5. Artificial intelligence empowers the R&D of TCM diagnosis and treatment equipment: external TCM treatment devices, TCM rehabilitation equipment, TCM nursing equipment, etc.
6. AI standards for TCM medical institutions: standards for electronic medical records, standards for non-pharmacological therapy diagnosis and treatment, quality control standards for TCM medical records, etc.
