2nd Session of the 3rd Council of WFCMS and 1st Session of Its Supervision Board Held in Jilin China

From June 23 to 24, 2012, World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) successfully held the 2nd session of its 3rd council and the 1st session of its supervision board in Jilin China. Ms. She Jing, WFCMS’s Chairperson attended the meetings, which presided by professor Li Zhenji, WFCMS’s Vice-Chairperson cum Secretary-General. About 100 attendees from 22 countries participated in the event. During the meeting, Mr. Huang Jianyin, WFCMS’s Vice-Secretary-General, presented a report on WFCMS’s specialty committees development and its academic events and activities; Ms. Xu Chunbo, WFCMS’s Vice-Secretary-General, delivered a report on the advancement in international standard of Chinese medicine; Mr. Huang Zhigao, director of Department of International Liaison of WFCMS, gave a speech on recent collaboration with WHO to the audience; Ms Tu Ying, WFCMS’s Vice-Chairperson, on behalf of The National Federation of Chinese TCM Organizations (USA) made a presentation to bid for the 10th World Congress of Chinese Medicine. It was granted to the federation by vote in the meeting. The World Core Courses of Chinese Medicine (Draft) and International Standard Chinese-Italian Basic Nomenclature of Chinese Medicine (Draft) were passed by the meeting as well.
